Living Out Our Worship | week 1

A word from the Pastor

We are a purpose driven church, meaning, we believe that God has raised our church with a purpose. The purpose of our church is summarized in a single sentence based on two key scriptures:

“We believe a Great Commitment
to the Great Commandment
and the Great Commission
will grow a Great Church”

The Great Commandment: Jesus said, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, and mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and Prophets hang on these two commandments” (Matthew 22:36-40).

The Great Commission: Jesus said, “Go and make disciples of all nations,
baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you” (Matthew 28:19-20).

Thus, Message of Peace Church exists to share the Good News of Christ, to bring people to worship God, to grow according to His Word, to fellowship and to serve our community

In the next four weeks, we will be focusing on the second purpose both on Sundays and in Connection Groups: Worship, what it is and how to worship

May the Lord use this series to bring us close to Him,

Pastor Fernando

Say the first word that comes to your mind when you hear the word WORSHIP.

-> Watch the Video Teaching by Pastor Fernando | Section 1

“Teacher, which is the most important commandment in the law of Moses?” 37?Jesus replied,?“‘You must love the?Lord?your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’[e]?38?This is the first and greatest commandment.?39?A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’[f]
40?The entire law and all the demands of the prophets are based on these two commandments.” Matthew 22: 36 – 40

To worship is to love and we love because we were loved.

2. How are people like Simon today?
3. What about the woman’s attitude? How is forgiveness of our sins related to worship?
4. Based on today’s teaching and Bible reading, what can change in you to improve your posture of worship both in the services and day to day?
