Our Pastors

Fernando and Teresa Carvalho, Founding Senior Pastors since March 1984.

Pastor Fernando was born in Brazil and came to US in 1979 to study. He graduated from Melodyland School of Theology in Anahein, California. Later he received his B.A. in Psychology from Bethany University of the Assemblies of God in Santa Cruz, California and his M.A. degree in counseling from Liberty University em Lynchburg,Virginia. He also received a Master of Divinity from Fuller Theological Seminary and is finishing his doctorate in ministry also at Fuller.

They have been married since 1983 and are parents of Philipe (married to Priscilla) and Raquel and grandparents of Camille.

Our Church

Message of Peace Church began in 1984 as a church serving the Portuguese speaking community in the San Francisco bay area. The church today is an international purpose driven church affiliated with the Northern California and Nevada District of the Assemblies of God.
